Information about the equipment, extra services and a practical packing list
Everything there, actually. However, since requirements and habits are different, detailed information about the facility is provided here.
Arrive
Wahrenberg is halfway between Hamburg and Berlin on the Elbe cycle path. Whether by bike, car or train - the journey is easy.
- Free car parking on the roadside
- IC / ICE / RE connection via Wittenberge main station
- S-Bahn connection to Stendal / Magdeburg via Geestgottberg station
- Tool and compressor / air pump for cyclists
The fine print:
There is practically no public transport in the Altmark region. From the train station to Wahrenberg you can either take a taxi or a bus on demand (Rufbus).
Sleep
Up to 6 people can stay here, including fresh bed linen:
- 2 people in a double bed in bedroom #1 (1.60 mx 2.00 m / 5'3" X 6'6")
- 2 more people in a double bed in bedroom #2 (1.60 mx 2.00 m / 5'3" X 6'6")
- 2 people on 2 extra beds (0.80 m X 2.00 m each / 2'6" X 6'6") or on the sofa bed in the living room (1.30 m X 1.90 m / 4'3" X 6'2")
The fine print:
The bedroom #1 is a connecting room to the bathroom behind.
Eat
The dining table can be pulled out so that 6 people can be comfortably seated.
The kitchen equipment leaves (almost) nothing to be desired:
- Stove and oven
- Toaster
- Water heater
- Fridge
- Enough dishes, cutlery and glasses
- Pots, pans, casserole dish
- Cooking tools, knives etc.
- Salt & pepper
The fine print:
There is no microwave, dishwasher nor a coffee machine. A small and a large coffee press are available to prepare coffee. Food, spices etc. are not available (exception: see below).
Note for families with children: there is no lockable closet. Knives, pots and power sockets are freely accessible.
Relax
If you are rested and full, you can have a good time:
- Free internet - WiFi in the whole apartment
- Board games
- Finish sauna
- Own garden
The fine print:
There is no TV set and no sound system / speaker system. Devices you have brought with you can be operated at one of the numerous power outlets at your own risk. The use of the sauna is at your own risk. Sauna towels are not available.
